Cypriol, cyperus scariosus, is also known as Nagarmotha, cyperus rotundus, as they both share almost identical properties. The essential oil is steam distilled from its roots. Indigenous to India, it is found in tropical, subtropical and temperate regions and is known to be one of  the most invasive weed in the world.
