Patchouli leaf

Patchouli (pogostemon cablin) leaf

Patchouli, pogostemon cablin, essential oil has long been favoured for its incredibly sensual character and aphrodisiac property. The plant is native to tropical regions of Asia, and is now extensively cultivated in China, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Mauritius, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. A peculiar property of Patchouli essential oil is that, just like wine, the more it is allowed to age, the more complex and aromatic it becomes.
